Grand Teton Sunrise from Jenny Lake

The rugged mountains of Grand Teton National Park are a phenomenal sight to see. Although there are many famous views of these majestic mountains, this is one of my favorites. Watching sunrise light up the peaks can be particularly rewarding, especially on a calm day when viewed at Jenny Lake. Although the morning had some haze which dulled the glorious sunrise colors that can light up the peaks, the serene lakeside view was still not to be missed. A while after I took this picture, some boating activity started, which broke-up the mirror surface of the lake. The pre-dawn drive up to the lake through the park was also incredibly rewarding, as wildlife was out in great numbers. In case you are wondering, Grand Teton is the 13,775 foot peak on the left. Jenny Lake is at an elevation of 6,783 feet.
